![]() Twenty members and friends of Christ Lutheran Church, Shrewsbury, recently began a new landscaping project, removing bushes, weeds, and debris from the front of the church as well as from around the adjacent annex building and the preschool playground. Earlier this year, overgrown trees along Main Street, which had become entangled in the utility lines and had roots that were causing damage to the sidewalk and foundations, were removed, making the front of the church, which was built in 1894, more visible. The next stage of the project, which will be completed later this fall, is to plant new shrubs. In the spring, perennials and annuals will be planted. For additional information, readers may call the church office at 235-2053.
