On Sept. 15, the students of Seven Sorrows School in Middletown celebrated the parish's feast day. The day’s events began with a school mass at 9 a.m., which was followed by a picnic that started at 11 a.m.

The picnic was sponsored by the Parent, Teacher Together (PTT) organization, and a hot dog and hamburger lunch was provided and enjoyed by the students and their family members. The children brought in beach towels and blankets and enjoyed the weather while picnicking on the grounds of the new Parish and Ministry Building completed in early September.

Following lunch, the students and families were assembled to listen to guest speaker Father Rothan, a former parochial vicar. A prayer card was given to each student to commemorate the day.
