On Oct. 4, St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 W. Orange St., Lititz, celebrated its annual Ingathering Sunday at the 8 and 10:45 a.m. services. During the past year, members of St. Paul have been pinning, sewing, and knotting blankets. The blankets will be donated to Lutheran World Relief, which will distribute them to areas throughout the world where they are needed. Participants in this past year's activity were Linda Calhoun, LaRue Ketner, Florence Latteer, Sue Long, Betty Mearig, Mary Roth, Evelyn Schreiber, Joanne Snavely, Nancy Usner, Marion Weaver, Mary Ann Wood, and Nancy Weiss. In addition to blankets, knitted and crocheted mittens, scarves, hats, sweaters, and baby items are also collected. These items are donated locally to such places as Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), WIC Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), and Lancaster Association of Retarded Citizens (LARC).
