Boyer-Garner  Mr. and Mrs. Derek Boyer
The marriage of Jamie Renee Garner and Derek Alan Boyer took place on May 30 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Mount Joy. The Rev. David Woolverton officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony. Soloist was Lindy Rodgers, and organists were Lois Stites and Pam Brenneman. The bride is the daughter of Jack Jr. and Joi Garner of Mount Joy. She graduated from Elizabethtown Area High School in 2002 and from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, in 2006. She is employed by Penn State Children's Hospital, Hershey. The groom is the son of Glenn and Linda Boyer of Elizabethtown. He graduated from Elizabethtown Area High School in 2001 and is employed by Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. The maids of honor were Jenna Garner, Richmond, Va., and Joell Garner, Mount Joy. Bridesmaids were Darla Boyer, Elizabethtown; Morgan Rodgers, Hartford, Conn.; and Emily Shearer, Mount Joy. Serving as best man was Michael Piva, Elizabethtown. Groomsmen were Jeremy Brocious, Elizabethtown; Ryan Keener, Elizabethtown; Chad Dohner, Mount Joy; and Colby Shearer, Mount Joy. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The reception was held at Lauxmont Farms, Wrightsville. After a wedding trip to Alaska, the couple resides in Elizabethtown.
