Thomes Mark 50th Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Ron Thome

Ron and Linda Thome of Elizabethtown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Cape Cod and a surprise party at Four Seasons, Landisville, that was arranged by their children.

The Thomes were married on Oct. 23, 1959, in Christ Lutheran Church, Elizabethtown. They are the parents of Teresa L. Thome, Philadelphia, and Cynthia L. Amick, wife of Shawn W. Amick, Elizabethtown.

Mrs. Thome’s parents, the late John and Mary Sweigart, were married for more than 71 years, and Mr. Thome’s parents, the late Arthur and Florence Thome, were married for more than 66 years.

The Thomes have traveled throughout the world, to all 50 states, and to most of the Canadian provinces.

Mr. Thome retired from Armstrong World Industries Inc., where he was manager of federal income taxes. Mr. Thome is treasurer of the Thome Insurance Agency Inc., and both he and his wife have been associated with the agency for many years.
