Great Strides 5K Run Slated

The Volunteer Club's Team SHAD will sponsor Dallastown Great Strides 5K Run on Friday, May 30, at 5 p.m. The paved course will begin and end on the campus of Dallastown Area Senior High School, 700 New School Lane. Several age groups will be available for both men and women, and prizes will be awarded.

Registration for the event includes the race and all Team SHAD events, including an ultimate frisbee tournament, a fun run, live music, food and beverages, llama petting, and more. Runners may enter by paying a registration fee or by raising pledges.

Preregistration must be postmarked by Tuesday, May 20. Registration on the day of the event will begin at 4 p.m. at the stadium. For registration forms and information, readers may visit www.teamshad.org or contact Joe Klinedist at 741-2830.

The event will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) in honor of Shad Murphy. Shad's parents are both teachers at Dallastown, and he has cystic fibrosis. For more information about CFF, readers may visit www.cff.org.
