Audubon Society Will Gather

On Monday, May 12, at 7 p.m. the York Audubon Society will host a sight-and-sound presentation by Tom Smith at the Luther Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1907 Hollywood Drive, York (south of York Suburban High School). Smith, the West Nile virus program coordinator with the Penn State Cooperative Extension, will share 2007 program data and explain what the virus is and how infection can occur.

The program is recommended for birders or anyone who spends time outside, where exposure to mosquito bites is possible. Attendees will learn how to protect themselves from bites. Attendees will also learn what to do should someone become infected with the virus.
