Work Camp Will Serve Community

Faith Beyond the Pews will celebrate 15 years of service to the Wrightsville and Red Lion communities with its work camp from Monday, June 9, through Friday, June 13. The work camp will provide services to members of the community who are unable to perform home projects due to age, physical challenges, or income restrictions. The deadline for submission of project applications and volunteer registration is Wednesday, May 14.

Servants Inc., a mission organization in Hellam, will coordinate the work camp. Appropriate project requests will include yard work, painting, cleaning, and minor home repairs and construction. Both projects and volunteers are needed.

To submit a project or to volunteer for the work camp, readers may obtain the appropriate forms by contacting Trent Davis at 378-0336 or trent@servants.org. Volunteers may offer as much time as they choose, from a half-day to a full week. Chapel Community Church, Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, will serve as headquarters during the work camp.
