Novelist Will Visit Library
Novelist Bob Fisher will present “The
Unexpected Discoveries of Writing” at Martin Library, 159 E. Market St., York,
on Thursday, May 8, at 7 p.m. His visit to the library will be his first
appearance after the release of his upcoming novel "Memory Road," and
he will be available to sign copies of his book during the event.
While writing novels, Fisher deepened his
interest in Asian history and discovered similarities between Asia in the 1930s
and Asia today. He will discuss the similarities, along with their effects on
the world, during his presentation.
Fisher was born in Scotland. He and his
wife have lived in six countries, and his three children were born on three
different continents. Fisher moved to York in 1981. Writing is his second
career, following his tenure as an executive with several large corporations.
For more information or to register for
the event, readers may call Allison Meckley at 846-5300, ext. 279, or visit
