Highland Club Slates Banquet

The Highland Women's Club of Lower Allen Township will host its annual spring banquet and officer installation ceremony on Thursday, May 15, at 6:30 p.m. at the Mechanicsburg Officers' Club, 5450 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg.

Being installed for the 2008-09 club year will be president Kate Reimer, vice president Audrey Basehore, recording secretary Nancy Deibler, corresponding secretary Nancy Snyder, treasurer Barbara Knapp, hospitality chair Beverly Earhart, membership chair Marge Luker, program chair Joan Murry, and publicity chair Edie Kennerly.

The club's woman of the year will also be announced by last year's winner, Nancy Snyder.

In addition to awarding scholarships to four Cedar Cliff High School students in June, the club also voted to donate money to a fund that will help to sponsor band students from Cedar Cliff and Redland High School who are going to China to participate in pre-Olympic festivities.
