Auditions For “Horrors” Set

Hershey Area Playhouse has posted the audition schedule for its summer production of the musical “Little Shop of Horrors.”

Auditions will be held at Hershey Area Playhouse at Country Meadows at 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, and Monday, May 12. Call-backs will take place on Tuesday, May 13. All of the show’s roles are open, and the director is looking for a cast of 10 to 18 strong singers and actors of different ages and ethnicities to fill a variety of roles. Performers ages 14 to 60 are sought.

Auditioning performers should prepare 16 measures of an up-tempo Broadway, contemporary, pop, gospel, or blues number. An accompanist will be provided. All performers also should be prepared to dance and move and read from the script.

The show’s rehearsals will begin on Thursday, May 15, and the show will run from Thursday, July 10, to Sunday, July 13, and from Thursday, July 17, to Sunday, July 20.
