Readiness Event Set By Academy

Harrisburg Academy, Dickinson College, Campus Door, and Wachovia Securities have teamed up to assist students in grades eight through 11 and their parents in planning for college. A Get Ready for College workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, at Harrisburg Academy, 10 Erford Road, Wormleysburg. The series is open to everyone in the community free of charge.

Registration and refreshments will take place from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Morning sessions will begin at 9 and 10:45 a.m., with a break at 10:30 a.m. The morning workshops will cover everything from essay writing to college financing to information on the Academy’s new International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. The program will close with refreshments and a question-and-answer session at 12:15 p.m.
