Dizel-Bishop

The marriage of Aurora Leigh Bishop and Scott Stephen Dizel took place on Oct. 6, 2007, outdoors at the Twinbrook Winery, Gap. The Rev. George Hewitt officiated at the 5 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Craig and Jenn Vanderslice. She graduated from Octorara High School in 2001 and the University of Pittsburgh in 2005. She is employed by PNC Bank, Philadelphia.

The groom is the son of Stephen and Sandra Dizel, Parkesburg. He graduated from Octorara High School in 2000 and Robert Morris University, Pittsburgh, in 2004. He is employed by SIG, Philadelphia.

Bridesmaids were Amanda Grossman, West Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; Lindsey Hamilton, Newtown; and Beth Young, Gap. The flower girl was Julia DiBenetto, North Caldwell, N.J., niece of the bride.

Groomsmen were Matthew Dizel, East Earl, brother of the groom; Brian Dizel, Smyrna, Del., brother of the groom; and Corey Vanderslice, brother of the bride. Ushers were Christian Vanderslice, Downingtown, brother of the bride; and Robert DiBenetto, North Caldwell, N.J., nephew of the bride. Ring bearer was Matthew DiBenetto, North Caldwell, N.J., nephew of the bride.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a strapless, fitted gown of satin covered with lace cascading to a short train. She carried a bouquet of white roses, hydrangea, larkspur, and blue delphinium. The reception was held in the winery and greenhouse on the winery grounds. A three-piece string ensemble played before the ceremony and during the reception.

After a wedding trip to the Napa Valley and San Francisco, Calif., the couple resides in Havertown.
