TVSD Contest Winners Posted
Students throughout the district submitted creative work for the annual Twin Valley School District (TVSD) calendar contest. Since 2001, the district has held an annual contest for all students enrolled in the district. Winning entries are incorporated into the annual district calendar, which is distributed each year in August.
Two grand-prize winners were chosen from each of the schools. Grand-prize winners received a trophy, a blue ribbon, and a savings bond. Trophies and ribbons were also awarded in each building to a second- and third-prize winner. The prizewinners were announced at Twin Valley High School at a breakfast for students and their families.
At Honey Brook Elementary Center, grand prizes went to Brianna Alvarez and Elissa Rivera, both of multiage one to two. Second prize went to Karina Barbesino, fifth grade. Third prize went to Blake Tracy, multiage three to four.
At Robeson Elementary Center, grand prizes went to Joshua Folk, fourth grade, and Megan Lackman, fifth grade. Second prize went to Maggie Fix, multiage three to four. Third place went to Carly Mertz, fifth grade.
At Twin Valley Elementary Center, grand prizes went to Lizzie Duplass, multiage one to two, and Adam Perez, kindergarten. Second prize went to Lauren Howe, multiage three to four. Third prize went to Madyson Burns, third grade.
At Twin Valley Middle School, grand prizes went to Celeste Foltz, sixth grade, and Jacob Leonowitz, eighth grade. Second prize went to Katelyn Reilly, sixth grade. Third prize went to Emily Rowland, seventh grade.
At Twin Valley High School, grand prizes went to Alex Delso, 10th grade, and Mark Sakoian, 11th grade. Second prize went to Victoria Vidal, ninth grade. Third place went to C.J. Maholland, 10th grade.
Judges for the event were Kelly Spica, Nick Danna, newscaster Karen Mallet, and Anne Tunbridge, Twin Valley School Board member.
