The Welsh Mountain Home, 567 Springville Road, New Holland, will hold its annual auction and chicken barbecue on Saturday, May 17. The event will take place rain or shine. The auction will begin at 9 a.m. Service for the barbecue will start at 10 a.m.

The auction will feature a variety of items, including a weekend getaway, a generator, quilts, outdoor furniture, nursery items, toys, antiques, and gift certificates for local restaurants and businesses. The auction will feature patchwork, embroidered, and appliquéd quilt designs. Various theme baskets will also be sold at the auction.

The event will offer a variety of food for all tastes, including chicken barbecue meals. Other food items will include homemade doughnuts, chicken corn noodle soup, hot dogs, sloppy joes, subs, soft pretzels, beverages, and homemade ice cream and baked goods.
