Tel Hai Sale Raises Funds

Daphne Dampman Hurst, Tel Hai Retirement Community's director of volunteer services, reports that the Residential Living Library committee and volunteers attracted a crowd of book lovers to the two-day sale held on April 3 and 4 in the Garrett Community Center on the Tel Hai campus.

The annual event raised funds to purchase new books, newspaper and magazine subscriptions, and other equipment for use within the library. This year, the sale netted nearly $1,400.

Two gift baskets created by Marilyn Michael were given away during the first day of the event. Winners included Jayne Harple of Honey Brook, who is the daughter of Tel Hai resident Mary Pearson, and Leo Hughes, a cottage resident.
