Students Earn Recognition

Twin Valley School District officials have announced that two Twin Valley High School (TVHS) students have been named Students of the Month by the high school staff in conjunction with the Twin Valley Rotary for the month of April.

Megan Jennings, a senior, currently carries a course load that includes advanced placement classes in English, chemistry, and calculus. In addition to her class work, she participates in community soccer and softball leagues. She also assists as a preschool teacher at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Jennings works with the after-school early learning program at Honey Brook Elementary Center as a monitor and teacher. Her future plans include pursuing a pre-med major at Temple University and eventually becoming a pediatrician.

Katie Solomon, a sophomore, is active at TVHS in academics and extracurricular activities. She is currently pursuing pre-engineering courses in the Project Lead The Way (PLTW) program. She plans to take both engineering and architecture classes in the next school year, and hopes to pursue a career in either engineering or architecture. Solomon's course load includes honors classes in German, algebra II, and chemistry. She is a member of the Twin Valley soccer, field hockey, and basketball teams. She is also a volunteer at the Robeson Lutheran Church with the summer children's program.
