Sanders Named Master Teacher
Twin Valley School District officials have announced that Adam Sanders, technology education instructor at Twin Valley High School, has been named a Master Teacher for Principles of Engineering in the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum at the high school.
Sanders was trained in Principles of Engineering for PLTW and has taught the course for several years. His application process included reference letters, the creation of an original lesson that may be utilized within the course material, examples of student work, as well as a written application. Upon selection, he received further training to complete the Master Teacher requirements.
PLTW builds strategic partnerships among middle schools, high schools, colleges and universities, and business and industry to provide students with the rigorous, relevant, reality-based knowledge necessary to pursue engineering or engineering technology programs in college.
Sanders will attend the Rochester Institute of Technology for further training as a Master Teacher and will co-teach Principles of Engineering to his peers at a PLTW Summer Training Institute.
