Prayer Group
To Meet
Healing Rooms of West Chester Inc., a multi-denominational, nonprofit Christian ministry dedicated to praying for the sick, will meet at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, 426 W. Gay St., West Chester. Hours will be on Wednesday, May 7, from 6 to 9 p.m., and Friday, May 9, from 3 to 8 p.m.

Service Of
Remembrance Set
Neighborhood Hospice, which provides hospice care to residents of Chester County and surrounding communities, will hold its annual Spring Service of Remembrance on Wednesday, May 7, at 6 p.m. in the Downingtown area.
The nondenominational service will be free and open to anyone who has lost a loved one in the last six months. Light refreshments will be served afterwards. Registration is required. Rummage Sale

A rummage sale will be held at the First United Church of Christ, Fourth and Washington streets, Royersford, on Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a special bag sale on Saturday from noon to 1 p.m.
For sale will be attic treasures, baked goods and plants. There will also be food items available, including soup, hot dogs, hoagies and more.
Rainbow School Sets
Spring Clothing Drive
The Rainbow Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) and fifth-grade Student Council are collecting used items such as clothes, shoes, curtains, tablecloths, stuffed animals, hard toys, purses, belts, scarves, etc., to help raise money for the school.
All items must be placed in plastic trash bags. Donations can be dropped off at Rainbow Elementary School, 50 Country Club Road, Coatesville, on Friday, May 9, from 3 to 7:30 p.m.
Flea Market, Chicken
Barbecue Slated
St. Basil’s Knights of Columbus will hold its spring flea market and chicken barbecue on Saturday, May 10, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the St. Basil Church parking lot, Seven Stars and Kimberton roads, Kimberton. The chicken barbecue will be takeout only and will be served from noon until 3 p.m.

Plant Sale
The Unitarian Fellowship of West Chester will have a Mother's Day weekend plant sale on Saturday, May 10, from 8 a.m. to noon, and on Sunday, May 11, before and after services. (Services are at 9 and 11 a.m.) For sale will be annuals, hanging baskets, native perennials, herbs and vegetable plants. The plant sale is open to the public. The church is located at 501 S. High St., West Chester.
School Plans Car
And Cycle Show
Rainbow Elementary School, Route 30 and Country Club Road, Coatesville, will hold its third annual car and motorcycle show on Saturday, May 10, from noon to 4 p.m. Registration will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The first 100 registrants will receive a dash plaque. The best looking car and cycle will be featured on next year's dash plaques. Multi-class trophies will be awarded.

Plans Meeting
The Main Line Macintosh User Group will meet on Saturday, May 10, at 9 a.m. at the Conference Center of the Church of the Good Samaritan in Paoli. The meeting will feature a presentation by Bob "Dr. Mac" LeVitus, a computer columnist and the author of over 50 books relating to Macintosh. Guests are welcome. Calvary Fellowship Church, Downingtown, will offer two different care/healing ministries beginning Monday, May 12. Celebrate Recovery, a 12-step Christian-based program for adults struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups of addiction-like behavior, will meet at 6:30 p.m.; no registration is required.
Divorce Care, a support group for those going through separation and/or divorce, will meet at 7 p.m. Preregistration is preferred.

The Chester County group of the
Sierra Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday,
May 15, at the West Chester Borough Hall, 401 E. Gay St., West Chester. Ralph Copleman, executive director of Sustainable
Lawrence, a movement begun in Lawrence, N.J., to get municipalities and
citizens to "think green," will talk about how to form a coalition of
community organizations committed to creating an ecologically sustainable
community.

Derby Slated
Coatesville Little League will hold its first annual Home Run Derby fundraiser on Sunday, May 18, starting at 1 p.m. at its major league field on 11th Street. An entrance fee will be charged per player. Those who collect pledges will receive additional prizes.
