School Plans Open House

West Fallowfield Christian School, 795 Fallowfield Road, Atglen, which serves children in kindergarten through eighth grade, invites registered and prospective students and their families to attend a kindergarten visitation and open house on Wednesday, May 21, from 9:15 to 11:30 a.m.

Beginning in the fall, West Fallowfield Christian School will offer three- or five-day all-day kindergarten. Both options will provide a foundation for the academic experience of school. The five-day program will include additional specials, enrichment, and review of curriculum. The curriculum will include reading readiness, mathematics, language arts, handwriting, science, social studies, library, art, music, Spanish, physical education, chapel, devotions, and the Bible. Recess time and a rest period will be offered each day.

On Wednesday, May 21, students and parents will have the opportunity to meet the school's new kindergarten teacher, Dana Lucash. Attendees will experience a typical day in kindergarten, including circle time, the art center, story time, a snack, and recess. Lucash, who has eight years of experience as a kindergarten teacher, holds a bachelor's degree and is certified in elementary education. Parents will have the opportunity to sit in the classroom with their children and to meet with school administrator Elvin Kennel.
