Scouts Throw Baby Shower
Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania's Downingtown Service Unit held a baby shower on April 19 to kick off the Baby Bundles service project that ran in the month of April.
During the service project, Girl Scouts collected new or unused baby items at local merchants. The Scouts packaged items in bundles and distributed them to families in need through social services agencies and religious organizations in their communities. The items collected included blankets, nursing aids, formula, baby food, clothes, diapers, bibs, towels, washcloths, and baby toiletries.
At the shower, girls played games and learned baby safety. The event was planned and sponsored by Senior Girl Scout Troop 41201. For more information on Girl Scout Baby Bundles, readers may call (484) 920-3051 or the toll-free hotline at (888) 244-4452, ext. 1456.
