Church Sets Schedule
Centennial Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1330 Hare’s Hill Road, Kimberton, has posted a number of announcements.
The youth group will hold a car wash from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 10. The rain date for the event will be Sunday, May 11, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Proceeds will be used on a weeklong summer mission trip to help needy families in Wilmington, Del.
At 9:30 a.m. on Pentecost Sunday, May 11, interim pastor David E. Mueller will give the homily message. There will be only one service. Serving as acolyte will be Maddie Cobb. Kyle Sollenberger, the son of David and Holly Sollenberger, will be confirmed; he will affirm his baptism and profess Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Sunday school classes will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Also, in honor of Mother's Day on May 11, the sanctuary will be decorated with pots of red geraniums. The geraniums will be used to honor both living and deceased mothers.
On Wednesday, May 14, the Care Group will meet at 6:30 p.m., and the Christian Education Committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. On Thursday, May 15, the hand-bell choir will meet at 7 p.m., and the chancel choir will meet at 8 p.m.
