Council Awards Annual Honors

Members and families of the Knights of Columbus, St. Elizabeth Council 13141, gathered to honor the Knight of the Year and Family of the Year at the annual communion breakfast on March 30. St. Elizabeth Parish is located on Fellowship Road in Upper Uwchland Township of Chester County.

The Knight of the Year Award was presented to Ronald J. Dawson. During the presentation, the Grand Knight, John Rogge, recognized the leadership Dawson provided in organizing a special ceremony to the Devotion of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In addition, his involvement with the choir was noted.

The Family of the Year Award was presented to John and Angie Fiore. The Grand Knight recognized the leadership that John and Angie have shown by being involved in the church's Stepping Forward Together campaign to raise funds to build a school gymnasium and ministry center. John's service as the family director in the council has brought several family-oriented activities to the council and parish.

The council also was proud to present to Monsignor Thomas M. Mullin, pastor of St. Elizabeth, a pledge for a $10,000 donation to the Stepping Forward campaign.
